We welcome your visit to our beautiful and historic campus, even if you are unable to schedule a formal visit with our office. If you come to campus to explore on your own, here is some information to help you plan your trip.
On-campus parking lots feature color-coded signs posted at each entrance. Most designated dark green or purple parking lots are available for free parking after 5:00 p.m. and on the weekends. Occasionally, some lots may be closed for special events. Please visit the Parking Services website for details about parking on campus and observe any "lot closed" instructions posted on signage within the lots.
Baker University Center features a pay-per-hour parking garage for your convenience. Spaces are limited. Rates are 1 dollar per hour or portion thereof. Payment methods are cash (bills ranging from $1 to $20, dimes, quarters and dollar coins), Visa, and MasterCard. To access the garage, follow Oxbow Trail past Baker University Center and enter the garage at the west side of the building.
Please be aware that there are reserved spaces within this garage. These spaces are clearly marked with signage indicating a space number. Visitors wishing to use the pay-per-hour parking are not authorized to park within any reserved space. Please note that violators will be towed. Please park in any non-reserved space and follow the posted instructions to pay for your parking upon your exit.
Lot 122, the surface lot at Baker Center, is a pay-to-park facility. Guests wishing to park within this lot have the option to pay using ParkMobile (zone 1313) or they can pay for their space using the pay station located near the lot entrance. Parking in this lot is $0.75 per hour.
Several parking lots throughout campus offer metered parking. Time limits and meter fees are posted on each meter and vary by parking lot.
Pay-per-hour parking can also be found in the City Garage located on East Washington Street (enter in block between Court Street and College Street) in Uptown Athens. Payment method is quarters only and a change machine is available at the entrance to the garage.Note: Please do not enter using the College Street entrance; that entrance is for reserved monthly parking spaces.
Several streets throughout the city offer metered parking. The vast majority of city parking meters have a two-hour limit, except for the parking meters above the first floor of the parking garage. Time limits and meter fees are posted on each meter and vary by street.
