New students are encouraged to complete the Health History Form and return it by mail no later than the first day of classes.
Ohio University requires all students enrolled at the Athens campus to maintain an active health insurance policy. The University offers a policy for students who do not have an active health insurance policy.

Once you are eligible to register for classes, you can enable free online services available through the Office of Information Technology, including Office 365, virus protection, file sharing, and more.
AlcoholEdu and Haven are online alcohol education and sexual violence harm-reduction courses. Both are mandatory for all first-year students at Ohio University. Allow several hours to complete the courses.
Getting to Athens is easy, but you should plan ahead for driving, using public transit, or taking a shuttle service. Multiple transportation options are also available once you are on campus.
