To be a candidate for Senator, an eligible administrator must complete and submit the application authorized by the Elections Committee and must declare which district or at-large position he/she is seeking. An "administrator" is defined as an employee of Ohio University holding a Presidential appointment who spends more than 50% of his/her time in administrative duties. This shall exclude the President, Vice Presidents, Provost, Associate Provosts, the Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Trustees, Deans, and those faculty whose responsibilities are defined as more than 50% administrative, but who have retained faculty rank but not faculty status.
We invite you to nominate administrators or yourself to serve both employees and the institution through membership on Administrative Senate. If your office is located in one of the districts listed below and you are interested in serving on Senate, please complete our NOMINATION FORM.
