Creating Accessible Programs and Events

Creating Accessible Programs and Events (CAPE), a committee formed through PACDAP's Strategic Plan implementation, seeks to embed accessibility into all of our practices in hosting events and programs on campus. If you are an event planner, take a look through these resources, to ensure you understand how to best build events that provide persons with disabilities a way to seamlessly participate.

Communicating Event Accessibility

Communication is an important part of any event. Asking people if they need accommodations to participate, adding signage to assist people in finding your events, communicating whether your site, parking and restrooms are accessible, are all integral to hosting a program.

Providing Accommodations at OHIO Events

As an event planner, it is important that you communicate that accommodations are available to participants and that you know what to do once a request comes forward.
