Admission for Summer Only Students

As a regional campus, Ohio University-Zanesville offers a wide assortment of courses at the undergraduate level. Summer is a great opportunity to pick up extra courses that apply to your major at another institution or to take that class you've always been interested in exploring. Just download and complete the Summer Only application and send it to the Office of Student Services, 1425 Newark Road, Zanesville, OH 43701.

Summer Courses are offered for one or two five-week sessions, for the full ten-week term or for shorter, intensive lengths such as one or two weeks.

Once we have processed your application, you may register on the web. Click here for instructions/information on web registration.

Students must meet all course pre-requisites. In some circumstances, you may be required to submit an official transcript to verify that you have met all necessary pre-requisites. So give yourself plenty of time to be sure you are admitted and registered before your classes begin!

Course credit from Ohio University can generally be transferred to other institutions. The accepting institution, however, establishes the policy in this matter. Be sure to check with your home institution to be sure the courses you select will transfer.

Students who register for Summer Quarter must pay all fees on or before the deadline to avoid a $100 late fee. Billing notification will be e-mailed to student Catmail accounts. Some students who register later will be sent an e-bill with payment due upon receipt. By registering for classes, a student incurs a legal obligation to pay tuition and fees. This debt may be cancelled only if the student officially cancels his/her registration BEFORE the deadlines for first/full session classes and for second session classes (the first day of classes for each session).
