Grants are considered gift aid that does not have to be repaid. Awards are based on financial need as determined by the information gathered through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). File the FAFSA by early February in order to meet the first priority FAFSA deadline.
- Federal Pell Grant
Grant is awarded based on financial need. Eligibility is determined by the U.S. Department of Education. Awards vary up to $4,050 for the 2006-2007 school year.
- Ohio University/Regional Higher Education Grant
This grant, awarded by Ohio University, is based on financial need. Students must complete the FAFSA application by early March.
- Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Award
This award is based of financial need and program of study. Eligibility is determined by county Job and Family Service Agencies, after Federal Pell and Ohio Instructional Grants are determined. Awards range up to $3,000 per year for up to 2 years.
