ABOUT THE WOUB CENTER FOR PUBLIC MEDIA
The WOUB Center for Public Media, an administrative unit of the
Scripps College of Communication at Ohio University, provides public
broadcast services, student professional development, and non-broadcast
educational services in support of the goals of Ohio University.
The Center’s resources support the University’s public service,
teaching, research, and administrative missions, through public radio,
public television, and related and developing technologies. Through
these activities, the Center extends the intellectual resources of the
university to its broader community.
Vision Statement
The WOUB Center for Public Media, through WOUB Radio and Television and non-broadcast facilities, will provide excellence in programming and services to meet the ascertained needs of its various audiences. The Center will maintain quality production and technical values to meet or exceed Center and client expectations. The Center will provide continued leadership in the fields of developing technologies, distance education, community outreach, and interactive services. It will also offer a quality program of active learning and student engagement opportunities in support of Ohio University and professional development. Through these activities, the WOUB Center for Public Media will maintain, enrich, enhance, and expand its status as an excellent place of employment.
