One of our most popular events, the Brown Bag Lunch and Learn Lecture Series is an informal discussion of issues pertinent to women at Ohio University every Thursday at noon. Recent discussions have focused on the future of the Center, human trafficking, feminism, and internet use. Please see our calendar of events.
Movie Nights at the Women's Center
We are currently putting together a film series for Fall 2009. For more information, please see our calendar.
Graduate Women's Peer Support Group
This group is for graduate women to come together to share information, support, and insight regarding the unique issues that women face in graduate school. Topics of discussion will be whatever the group decides. Potential topics include: balancing school and family, time management, healthy ways to reduce stress, managing relationships with professors and students, and dealing with the chilly climate for women in academia.
The Women's Center Mentoring Program is an opportunity for women students of junior and senior standing to connect with a female mentor in their personal and professional fields of interest. The application process begins early in Fall Quarter, and the mentoring program runs through the academic year. Click here for more information.
