The Women's Center is currently recruiting volunteers for its newly designed volunteer program. We are looking for a group of dedicated students who are interested in contributing to the Women's Center and help us to move the mission of the Center forward. Women's Center volunteers can work with the Women's Center in a variety of ways:

·As part of our office staff

·As part of our programming and outreach staff

·As an ambassador to other campus offices

·During special events

·As a member of our editorial staff

·Action projects of your own design

·As interns for a class or community service

Time and work commitments vary, depending on your schedule and interests. Please fill out the volunteer application to let us know what your interests and level of commitment are. All volunteers have to participate in a 2-hour volunteer orientation at the beginning of the semester.

As a Women's Center volunteer you can gain valuable skills and professional experience:

·Knowledge of issues relevant to women, gender and feminism and how to communicate them effectively

·Event planning and programming geared at a college audience
