Hosting

Web Services provides hosting for student organizations at Ohio University. We currently provide two options for hosting: CommonSpot and Static-Page Web Server.

• CommonSpot provides a template-based content management system to maintain your pages. This will make it easier for your successor to maintain the site. You can learn more about using CommonSpot for student organizations by going to http://www.ohio.edu/web/organizations/checklist.cfm

• The Static-Page Web Server allows you to create HTML pages using whatever software you desire. You can learn more about using the Static-Page Web server by starting at http://www.ohio.edu/oit/webservices/static/.

Factoids

• Over 260 student organizations at Ohio University are registered with the Campus Involvement Center, including clubs, sororities, fraternities, and student chapters of professional organizations.
• Ohio University does not control the contents of any of these organizational web pages.
