The Voinovich School Welcomes Dr. Jolley

The Voinovich School gladly welcomes G. Jason Jolley to the Voinovich School faculty as Assistant Professor of Rural Economic Development. Dr. Jolley joins the School from the University of North Carolina where he was an adjunct assistant professor in the Kenan-Flagler Business School, as well as Senior Research Director for the Carolina Center for Competitive Economies (C3E). Dr. Jolley's academic and professional backgrounds have focused on assessing the effectiveness of various development approaches, such as financial incentives and tax credits.

Through his previous experience, Dr. Jolley hopes to bring to the Voinovich School "a strong commitment to public service and experience working directly with communities to create economic development opportunities." He looks forward to "the opportunity to continue my research opportunities with my colleagues here at the Voinovich School."

Looking forward on his new position, Dr. Jolley explains, "I believe public universities have an obligation to help residents of their state. During the interview process, I was very impressed with the Voinovich School's commitment to public service, and I hope to contribute to the mission of improving the economic health of southeastern Ohio."
