Voinovich School to Receive Sustainability Partner Award

Rural Action has recently announced the winners of their 2012 Sustainability Awards highlighting the work of individuals, businesses, and organizations in the communities to create a more sustainable future.Ohio University's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs was awarded their Sustainable Partner Award. The Voinovich School is involved in multiple sustainability projects led by Rural Action, including the Appalachia Ohio Zero Waste Initiative. Rural Action is a regional, community development organization that strives to create a sustainable future for Appalachia Ohio.The award ceremony will be held at the Athens Farmers' Market on September 8, 2012, starting at 11 a.m. Rural Action's Executive Director Michelle Decker will present the awards and provide updates at the event.
