Farewells and Greetings

Winter quarter saw the departure of two University College academic advisors, Dr. Tammy Kahrig and Kraig Curry. Tammy was appointed the Associate Director of the Student Success Center at The University of Tennessee. Kraig joined the staff of Hocking College as the Coordinator of Job Placement and Employer Relations.

Amy Six recently joined the University College staff as an Academic Advisor. Amy’s main responsibilities include advising undecided and BSS students and directing UC 115. Originally from Jackson, Ohio, she attended OU as both an undergraduate and graduate student. She earned her Master’s in College Student Personnel, and her Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication. After graduation, Amy accepted a job at the University of Central Florida where she worked as an academic advisor in UCF’s First-Year Advising Office. She most recently came from the University of Houston, where she served as the admissions coordinator for the MBA Program in the College of Business, as well as an academic advisor for the Master’s Program in Accounting. Amy is very excited to be back in Ohio and working at her alma mater.
