The 2013-14 "United 2 Give, United 2 Help" United Appeal Campaign at Ohio University is under way. As we enter the traditional season of giving, we celebrate the power that United Giving can have for someone in need. We hope you will consider a gift to support the work of United Appeal's 14 partner agencies as well as Athens County 2-1-1. Athens County 2-1-1 is a service that allows people to "Get Connected" and "Get Answers" at any hour of the day, any day of the week.
The resources provided to our community members by United Appeal and its 19 partner agencies are invaluable and make a tremendous impact on those served. Help us once again meet our goal of 12 percent of Ohio University faculty and staff giving. Meeting the 12 percent participation goal also will help us meet our campus-wide $50,000 goal.
Giving is easy. You can choose to give a one-time gift or enroll in payroll deduction. Simply complete the pledge form you received in your University mailbox and return it, via campus mail, in the enclosed self-addressed envelope. (Please note that if you are electing payroll deduction, you must sign the form to authorize the deduction. Incomplete forms will be returned to you. Also, please return both copies of the pledge form. One copy will be forwarded to United Appeal and the other will be forwarded to Payroll to initiate your payroll deductions.)
We hope you will be one of the donors who are United 2 Give, United 2 Help this year.
**Please note: Donation information was distributed to OHIO employee mailboxes in early November. If you received an information packet containing a letter and donation form but no envelope in which to send your gift, your donation can still reach United Appeal. Using a Campus Mail interdepartmental envelope, simply send your completed donation form to:
Chief of Staff and Special Assistant to the President
Office of the President
Cutler Hall 108
Your gift will then be received and counted with the other generous donations from Ohio University faculty and staff.
