Appalachia Rising: Stories of Hope and Achievement from Ohio's Appalachian Hills and Valleys shows the positive impact of Ohio University's involvement in a region labeled "the ground zero of American poverty." The book is a collection of stories from the "Appalachia Rising" series in Compass (the UCM-produced online news source for Ohio University). Published in partnership with Ohio University Press, this project exemplifies how UCM continues to tell the story of OHIO's contributions to the region.
