For printed pieces and videos, the first step is to click here or on the “Get Started” button on the left side of this page in order to complete and submit a Project Inquiry Form. The information you provide to us will then be evaluated by our team and we will let you know whether we have the resources available to meet your needs.
UCM works on University websites in collaboration with the Office for Information Technology (OIT) under the direction of Web Services. If you would like to request a Web project, please click here to visit the OIT site for more information and links to appropriate forms.

Can I send an e-mail to the entire University?
University-wide e-mails on specific topics are typically restricted to items deemed by the University administration to be of great importance or urgency to many members of the OHIO community. In most cases, members of our academic community are encouraged to submit items of interest to Compass, OHIO’s official news and information publication, for publication at the discretion of its editors. Compass headlines are also collected and distributed regularly to the University community in e-mails that feature summaries and clickable links for each highlighted story.

Our department needs to be on Facebook or Twitter. Can you help us get started?
Yes! Our external communications team administers the University’s main social media sites and helps other Ohio University units get started with their own Twitter or Facebook pages. Please click here to contact our communications specialists.
How can I get my department’s event information added to the University’s online calendar?
Anyone with an OHIO ID and password can add an event by visiting http://www.ohio.edu/calendar and clicking the "Add Event" button. Log in with your OHIO ID and fill out the resulting form. Should an entry need to be updated, the person who created that entry can edit it by returning to the calendar link above and logging in via the "Add Event" button. The form that appears after login holds a link titled "Edit Events" on the right-hand side in the gray bar near the top of the page.

Will you videotape a meeting?
Our strategic and creative focus is on developing video projects that promote the University and its programs. Because of this focus, we are unable to offer videotaping services for most events and archival purposes. Please click here to e-mail our Director of Video and Photography Services, who may be able to suggest an alternate service provider for your project if we are unable to meet your needs.

How do I apply for an internship?
To apply for an internship position, click here to e-mail us. Be sure to attach a résumé and cover letter indicating which position you are interested in. (For a complete list of current positions available, check out the internship descriptions.) Tell us about your experience, what part you’re most interested in, and why you’d be the best candidate for the job. Include the days you are available to work. Finally, include the name of your school/department, the name of the professor who will be giving you credit for the practicum, and a phone number where you can be reached.
