| Amanda Roden, of Delaware, Ohio, is a junior studying Spanish and is beginning her first year of a two-year term on the Board of Trustees. She has an extensive background in service and outreach, which began as early as middle school when she began raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Throughout high school (Buckeye Valley High School) she served as a member of Student Council, becoming president her senior year. As a student of Ohio University, she has become involved in a number of organizations, including Spanish Club, Foreign Language in Elementary Schools, Ohio Program of Intensive English, and others. Amanda is also a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, as well as the Mortar Board Senior Honors Society. Additionally, she has played an active role in Student Senate; first as the Co-Chair of the Intern Community Service Committee, then as Vice-Commissioner of the Academic Affairs and University Life commissions, as well as serving on various ad-hoc committees. Upon graduation, Amanda plans to pursue a career in service and international relations.
