As President of The Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, she leads an effort that serves as a national model created to break the cycle of child abuse and family violence. She served as a Judge in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court (1993-2002). McGee Brown serves on the Board of Directors of M/I Homes, Inc., and Fifth Third Bank of Central Ohio. She is a member of the boards of the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence and the Columbus Community Shelter. She has been honored for her community service with a plethora of awards, including the Medal of Merit Alumni Award from Ohio University, and she has been inducted into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism/Public Relations from Ohio University and her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law.
Yvette lives in Columbus and is married with three children.
