October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month. This is an annual effort to increase awareness and prevention of online security problems, spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance.
 

2008 IT Security Seminar

Information Technology Security Seminar (ITSS) 2008

Do you deal with any of the following as part of your work?

  • Financial information

If so, then Office of Information Technology’s IT Security Seminar is for you. During this one-day event in Baker Center, you will learn:     

  • how to identify sensitive data        
  • how best to handle that data
  • what you can do to better secure the university’s information environment 

ITSS 2008 will be held Wednesday, October 15 from 9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Baker University Center.

The seminar includes two tracks – an administrative track geared toward university employees who need to make sure their data is properly secured and a technical track geared toward IT professionals. Each track has 4 sessions. There are 2 general sessions scheduled for all ITSS participants.
