Full story Storage Upgrade Promises Larger Quotas, Better Reliability April 30, 2008 - This weekend, OIT staff and engineers from disk array manufacturer EMC will install a massive storage array in the university's data center. Once online, the new array will facilitate expanded quotas, improved system reliability, and the consolidation of individual servers.

Full story Oracle Calendar Web login to change March 19, 2008 - OIT's scheduled March 22 upgrade to the Oracle Calendar system will change the way Oracle Calendar's Web version handles logins. As a result, anyone who accesses their agenda via the Web will need to change their Oak password after Saturday's upgrade is complete. Network registration coming to residence halls Jan 31, 2008 - To provide a safer and more robust network at Ohio University, the Office of Information Technology plans to begin requiring registration of all devices connected to the residence hall wired network in the coming months. Improved Touch Screen Controls for Athens Campus Lecture Halls
Dec 19, 2007 - Lecture halls in Bentley and Walter Halls will have new, easier to use touch screen projector/speaker controls for Winter Quarter. OIT plans to expand deployment to other large lecture halls over the summer.
