Improved Touch Screen Controls for Athens Campus Lecture Halls
Dec 19, 2007 - Lecture halls in Bentley and Walter Halls will have new, easier to use touch screen projector/speaker controls for Winter Quarter. OIT plans to expand deployment to other large lecture halls over the summer.

Deadline approaching for $100 computer/monitor/printer offer
Auxiliaries is offering surplus residence hall computer systems to OHIO departments for $100 each through the end of Fall quarter. These are 2.4 GHz Pentium 4 desktop computers with a 17 inch monitor, mouse, keyboard, and Okidata black and white printer. Each system will come with a fresh install of OIT's standard, self-updating Windows XP/Office 2003/McAfee package. You can test drive one of these systems in HDL 154 during regular business hours.
If you have any older systems that are in need of replacement, this is an excellent opportunity. These machines are more than adequate for most day to day computing tasks, and they have an excellent track record in the residence halls - an environment that the Service Desk can attest quickly reveals any weaknesses in computer hardware.
If you would like one or more of these systems for work use,you must place a work order with the Service Desk before the end of Fall quarter. Personal sales are not available at this time.
