New look coming for OIT website

Starting on Friday, January 14, 2011, the OIT website will sport a new look.

IT Security Seminar scheduled for Friday, October 22

The Office of Information Technology will be sponsoring its third annual IT Security Seminar on Friday, October 22, 2010 in Baker Center's 2nd floor conference area.

The event will include two separate tracks, one geared towards IT professionals and one designed to provide practical advice for home and work

Forum to air concerns about Blackboard 9

In response to faculty concerns about the usability of Blackboard 9, the Office of Information Technology has scheduled an open forum on October 20, 2010 in Baker Center 240.

New software provides quick look at book prices

May 18, 2010 - Software engineers from the Office of Information Technology had a straightforward goal for the new program that provides textbook prices to students – make it simple and easy to use.

Online telephone statements now available

May 04, 2010 - OIT is pleased to announce the availability of online telephone account bills and summaries for departmental and personal accounts. 

The new online interface replaces an aging mainframe-based, paper bill system.  Statements in the new system will include activity from the past year as well as any outstanding balances left over from the old, mainframe billing system.

NextGen Update: Winter break progress

January 11, 2010 - During winter break, OIT reached several important milestones for its NextGen Network and Rufus Initiative projects, with core and individual network upgrades completed in multiple locations on the Athens campus, and successful contract negotiations for Identity Management and Constituent Relationship Management for the Rufus Initiative.
