Activate your Oak ID Your Oak ID and password are your keys to most online services at Ohio University. If you are new to the university or are returning after an extended absence, you will need to activate your Oak ID. Please follow the appropriate instructions below:

Faculty & StaffEmployee Oak IDs must be activated in person. Please bring a photo ID to one of the following locations to verify your identity and activate your faculty/staff Oak ID: - Service Desk - 3rd Floor, HDL Center
- Eastern - Eastern Campus Lab Annex - 227 Shannon Hall
- Zanesville - Learning Advancement Center - Elson Hall
- Lancaster - Computer Lab, 215 Herrold Hall
- Chillicothe - Computer Lab, Bennett Hall
- Southern - Open Computer Lab, 210 Academic Center Building
If you are a faculty/staff member who is also enrolled for classes, you will have both a faculty/staff Oak ID and a student Oak ID. To avoid missing any class-related messages, you should activate your student Oak ID.
