Software Assistance


Computer software includes both system software (e.g., Windows, MacOS, or Linux) and application software (e.g., desktop applications, such as Microsoft Word, FireFox,  etc., and server applications, such as Oracle Financials, SIS, etc.).

Many software vendors provide extensive general online help for their products.

In addition to vendor help, OIT provides customized application support through Academic Technologies, Application and Information Solutions, and Customer Support Services, depending on the specific application.

Online support is available for these specific applications:

Instructor-led training is available for some of the applications listed above.

Consultation and personal one-on-one support is available to students and employees, for a limited range of applications, in the computer labs operated by OIT, and for a wider range of applications, by contacting the Service Desk.

Assistance is also available online if you are interested in purchasing or downloading software.
