Sport Opportunities for Women in Zimbabwe

The purpose of this project was to conduct an ethnography of women’s sports experiences in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Interviews with five women describe their personal experiences with sport and physical activity throughout their lives. The study also includes an examination of current community opportunities for sport and a demographic survey to highlight women’s attitudes towards sports. From June to July 2003, was on attachement (internship) at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. From June to September 2004, lived in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe while conducting research for her Master’s Thesis. Traveled throughout South Africa from September to November 2004
