Computer Science Technology


The Computer Science Technology program emphasizes skills used by successful computer professionals in computing and problem solving. Students complete projects, work in teams, develop the ability to learn new technologies, and additional skills that are valued in an ever-changing workplace. Courses include programming, networking, database management, and website management that will enable students to develop skills in the profession. Students will focus on technical electives that will allow them to achieve career goals.

Hands on experience in laboratory courses provide comprehensive understanding of the technology that includes identifying and maintaining component parts and the processes for connecting networks and related equipment.
Career Opportunities
Employment for graduates includes entry level programmers, website developers, and network technicians. An increase in the number of job openings in each of these areas has occurred in recent years with companies and organizations needing trained and knowledgeable employees to provide administrative support and maintain the technology vital for their operations.
