Description:
 

Operating System software. NOTE: The terms of the Microsoft agreement require the university and individuals to purchase the OS when you buy a new computer. The Microsoft agreement covers upgrades only.
 


System Requirements:
 

  • PC with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system); Intel Pentium/Celeron family, or AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended
  • 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
  • 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space
  • Super VGA (800 × 600) or higher-resolution video adapter and monitor
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Athens Campus - Contact sitelicenses@ohio.edu with departmental account information.  CDs can be used for installation of the software on Ohio University-owned computers only.

There is no departmental charge for the license. The license has been paid for by the university. CDs are $10 per set.

Regional Campus - Departments can contact the library located on their regional campus, except at the Southern (contact Computer Services) & Zanesville (contact Help Desk, Elson Hall Room 102). CDs can be used for installation of the software on Ohio University-owned computers only.
