Data recovery for Macintosh. Focusing on data recovery, not hard drive repair, Data Rescue can recover data from a corrupt drive, even if it no longer mounts. Data Rescue does not write to your damaged hard disk, instead it writes your files to a second drive - ensuring that your data can be restored without further damage. There are three different versions of the rescue software (II, Classic & Legacy).
The license was paid for by the College of Fine Arts, but the Office of Information Technology will be handling the distribution of the licenses and media.

How To Obtain Software:
Obtaining Departmental Copies of Media
Data Rescue can be installed on "university-owned" machines only. Student/Faculty/Staff home-use rights are NOT included in this license.
There will be no charge for the license. Duplication of the media is not allowed, so the best option is to borrow the media (CDs) from the Computer Services Center, Room 003B (M-F, 8-5). Regional campuses can contact sitelicenses@ohio.edu if they need Data Rescue.
If your department needs their own set of media, we can purchase you a single CD from Data Rescue for $10. All three versions would be $30.
