The Elite Mens Glee Club

The Singing Men of Ohio is the original Ohio University Male Glee Club. Composed of all majors spanning the university – our organization takes great pride in its diversity and mission – finding unity through harmony by promoting brotherhood and campus leadership through song. With nearly seventy members auditioned out of Ohio University’s undergraduate and graduate students – SMO meets three times a week in The School of Music’s Glidden Hall.

The Singing Men of Ohio Society of Alumni & Friends

Forming out of the original Ohio University Men’s Glee Club that was founded in 1906, Singing Men of Ohio has made their presence known on campus for nearly 100 years. Though after being disbanded for fifteen years, the late Dr. Ira T. Zook reformed the men’s choir in 1989 under the name Singing Men of Ohio – reviving the tradition and spirit that carries on within the group today. Join the Tradition. Sing On.
