Spring 1999 Annual Banquet

Professor Steven Grimes

Professor Steven Grimes, of the Ohio University department of Physics and Astronomy, a former president of the chapter, will be our featured speaker. Steve will be talking about his current research at the accelerator lab; the title of his presentation is, "Just take 10 (raised to the 15th power) neutrons and, if you don't feel better in the morning, call me!"

The new initiates will be introduced and presented with their certificates of membership.

Also included with each entree are a dinner salad, rolls and butter, chef's vegetable of the day, dessert, and choice of beverage.

We cordially invite the new initiates to dine at the Society's expense; however, all other guests -- wives and significant others -- must be charged for their dinner selections.

We are initiating/promoting eighteen individuals this year and a rousing turnout would certainly be in order! Please send your reservations to Dave Diggle (E-mail diggle@bobcat.ent.ohiou.edu or call 593-1522). Please indicate the number of individuals attending and your dinner selections. Your response is needed no later than noon on Friday, May 14th to allow The Inn to finalize preparations. Payment in advance would also be appreciated! Dave's office is in Stocker Center, Room 237.
