Ohio University Shotokan Karate Club

Karate Club Meeting Times/Location

Monday/Wednesday/Friday
6:00 - 8:00 PM
Ping Center Combative Arts Room

The Shotokan Karate Club helps students to develop the skills of self-defense through training, and consequently they increase their self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-image. Shotokan karate teaches its students to seek perfection of character, be faithful, endeavor, respect others, and refrain from violent behavior.  This is our creed, or “dojo kun”.

The Ohio University Shotokan Karate club, one of the oldest in the nation, is a member of the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) and the Japan Karate Association (JKA).  Our club competes within the Mid-America region, nationally, and sometimes internationally.

We strongly welcome beginners!
You do not have to compete!
