when to contact the IS office - Physical safety/illegal activity
In the event of a threat of physical harm or suspected illegal activity, do not contact the Information Security Office, but instead immediately contact the Ohio University Police Department at 740-593-1911.
- Reporting misuse or abuse of computing resources
This may include spam, phishing or email abuse reports. Send all relevant information to abuse@ohio.edu. For email issues, please include the full email header information. Call the Service Desk at 740-593-1222 for assistance.
- Computer security emergency
During normal business hours, call the Service Desk at 740-593-1222 to have a member of the Information Security Office paged. After hours, call the Computer Operators at 740-593-1012 to have the Information Security Office on-call representative paged.
- Request for assistance
Contact the Information Security Office at security@ohio.edu.
