use a screen saver password
To prevent others from seeing what you are working on, or accessing files when you step away from your computer, you should set a password protected screensaver. Your screen saver will automatically activate after a set time if you aren’t using your computer and will require a password to stop the screensaver. To set up a password-protected screensaver in Windows XP: - Right-click your desktop then choose “Properties”.
- Select the “Screen Saver” tab.
- Choose a screensaver you wish to use, then ensure that “On resume, password protect” is checked.
- Click “OK” to complete the changes.
