The Media Sales Institute at Ohio University

The Media Sales Institute (MSI) is an intensive twelve-day workshop designed to introduce graduating seniors to the nuts and bolts of media sales as a career.

The NABEF Media Sales Institute will serve as a pipeline to funnel excellent students into the business of media sales. During the two-week program, students will be immersed in a fast-paced learning environment. Professionals from the industry will serve as the Institute’s “faculty” and recruiters from media companies will be prepared to offer employment to selected graduates.  (Room and Board will be provided). 


Application to the Media Sales Institute

To apply for MSI, students must have graduated from a four-year university before the beginning of the program (May 11, 2014). Prospective participants must complete an application and submit a 500-word essay describing why attending MSI will be valuable to your future career. In the essay please address: (1) your career goals; (2) how media sales is involved in your career goals; and (3) how attending the Media Sales Institute will further your goals. Applicants are also required to submit a one-page résumé, and two letters of recommendation (non-family members)—one from a professor and one from another source.
