VisCom’s Sarah Erickson named first 73 West State Scholar

Dec 11, 2014 Ohio University School of Visual Communication (VisCom) student Sarah Erickson has been named the 73 West State Scholar. The award is a two-year renewable scholarship that was established by alumnus William C. Brand, BSC ’87, to honor the friends he made during his time as an Ohio University student.

Scripps alumna found career ‘golden ticket’ through innovation challenge win

Nov 18, 2014 Leah Petrovich, broadcast major and 2013 alumna, knew the feeling all too well when she said goodbye to Athens two years ago and took a position as a broadcast sports intern at WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh. Petrovich had spent the past four years at OU studying broadcast journalism, but after working for five months in the field, she wasn’t sure it was the right path for her.

WOUB’s Perspectives examines hard issues through a local lens
