How to enter

The Scripps Innovation Challenge is open to individual or team entries from Ohio University students. Read through the challenges submitted by media companies to see which one you or your team may want to tackle. Each challenge includes specific criteria against which your proposed solution will be evaluated. Sign up to keep informed about Contest news and updates, and to help find teammates.

DEADLINE: Proposals are due no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17. In order to submit a proposal you must register your team (even if it's only you) prior to 4:30 p.m. on February 28th. This contest registration ensures we will be able to line up the right judges for the proposals submitted.

The guidelines for this year's contest will be posted prior to the Challenge kick off February 10-11th.

For additional help on entries:
  • Workshops will be held to help you fashion the best possible entry. Check our events calendar for upcoming workshops and events.
  • Alden Library staff can provide research support to help you prepare your entry. This includes everything from market studies and statistics to research papers that relate to specific challenges. You can access a research guide as well as ask a librarian for a research consult.
  • Faculty Mentors can assist you.
