Where do I find...?

ATM machines
On campus there are machines in Alden Library, Baker Center, Boyd Dining Hall, Jefferson Dining Hall, Morton Hall, Nelson Commons, and the Oasis. There are several located uptown on Court Street and Union Street.

Bike Racks
Bike racks are located throughout campus on every green and near most classroom buildings.

Bobcat Calling Card
This long distance calling card is available to students. Apply from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at Communication Network Services, HDL Center. Bring a photo ID. If you already have a Bobcat Calling Card, the same office can help you with any problems you have with it.

Bobcat Cash
Wish to add funds to this convenient way to using vending machines and other services on-campus? You can add to your balance at the cashier's office in Chubb Hall or online at www.cashnetsmartpay.com/ohio.

Cable (CATVision)
Every residence hall room is hooked up to the university's own cable system with a lineup of stations as well as a movie channel and news from around the world. Call 593-1220 to report problems.

Change
Go to Gam Vending Center on the East Green, Treudley Vending Center on the West Green, Dougan Vending Center on the South Green, or the snack bar in Alden Library. Your staff office does not have change.

Computer Labs
They're all over - the College Green has several. The computers in Alden Library and the Computer Services Center are the most extensive and open to any Ohio University student. Labs on the residential Greens are located in Hoover and Brown on South; and Boyd on West. Call 593-1018 for more information.

Copies
Copy machines are located in Alden Library, Morton Hall, Baker Center, Nelson Mini Mall, and Jefferson and Boyd Dining Hall lobbies.

ID
The ID office is located in the HDL Center. If you lose your ID or have any problems with it, contact this office immediately.

Internet Access
Call Communication Network Services at 593-1222 for Internet hook-up or help. These are the people that can answer any question that you might have about SCE (Student Computing Environment) or ResNet.

Light Bulbs
In the dark? Check with your RA or RCS staff. He or she will know how to get light bulbs.

Laundry
Many buildings have their own laundry facilities. If you live in a building that doesn't, try these laundry centers: Gam on East Green, Treudley and Bromley (Bromley requires a special laundry card) on West Green, or Dougan on South Green. These facilities are open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday. Please don't leave your laundry unattended and remember to allow yourself plenty of time to finish before closing.

Mail
Everyone has his or her own mailbox or shares one with roommates. Mailboxes on East, West, and Old South Greens are in the hall's lobby. New South mailboxes are located in Nelson Commons.

Maintenance
Any building maintenance problems should be promptly reported to your RA, RCS staff or a zone maintenance worker. Things cannot be fixed unless the maintenance staff knows there is a problem, so please communicate.

Microfridges
Call 593-1220 to report problems or complete a work request by visiting the Housing website and following the on-line forms link.

Packages
You'll get a package mail slip for packages that don't fit in your mailbox. Bring your ID and the slip to pick up the package at the staff office during office hours. If you live on New South, you need to go to Nelson Commons.

Post Office
Conveniently located on the first floor of Baker Center is a full-service U.S. Post Office. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Recycling
Every room has a recycling container to make recycling easy. Collected recyclables should be emptied into the containers in your hall's recyclables area. Newspaper, cardboard, glass, aluminum, plastic, and paper are all collected.

Phone Book
Toward the end of fall quarter, you will receive a Campus Directory and a Verizon Athens phone book. Until then, you can call 593-1000 for campus information.

Phone Repair
Call 593-1000 to report a problem.

Trash
You are responsible for your trash. Trash, such as pizza boxes, that you leave in a shared public area must be cleaned up by you. You are also responsible for taking your trash outside to the dumpster. Trash cannot be left in the hallways as this is a fire hazard.

Vacuum Cleaner
Available at the staff office.
