For Interested Resident Assistants:

Please consider applying for an ARA position (Administrative Resident Assistant)!  We are seeking additional candidates for our pool.

ARA Role!

As an ARA you have the opportunity to be a leader among your RA peers. ARAs have responsibility for overseeing various administrative tasks critical to the smooth operation of a hall or complex. In the absence of Sr. Staff, ARAs are seen as the primary staff member in charge of the complex.  This position carries with it increased responsibility and opportunity for building valuable leadership skills.  See Job Description Info.

ARA Compensation!

As an ARA you receive a single room within the Residence Hall/Complex (location subject to change depending upon housing needs)  You also receive a stipend of $1,327.00 per quarter (with increases each year of service as an ARA).  Payroll Schedule

ARA Eligibility!

You are eligible for a position if:

* You have a strong job performance evaluation from your current residence life supervisor

* You have at least a 2.25 accumulative G.P.A.

* You will have completed 1 year positively evaluated RA experience at the time you are hired for an ARA position.

How to Apply!

Application materials are now available on the Residence Life web page.

There will be an information session at 7:00 pm on January 17, 2008 in Baker University Center Room 230.

Applications are due Wednesday, January 28, 2008 at the Central Residence Life Office, 350 Baker Center and must include 2 completed reference forms (1 must be current supervisor), completed application form.

Candidates will be contacted by Assistant Directors for an interview if you meet all the requirements listed above. Candidates will be interviewed by Assistant Directors.
