About Us
The Department of Residence Life would like to let you know the new title change of our office and some of our positions. First, we have expanded to include the University's Off-Campus Living functions. Therefore, our office is now Department of Residence Life and Off-Campus Living.
Position Descriptions and Staff Roster (as of July 12, 2007) for your reference.
The most notable change is that Resident Directors (RDs) are now Residential Coordinators (RCs). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
As always, we appreciate our collaborative relationship with you.
The Department of Residence Life has committed itself to the development of the residential student at Ohio University through its five goals of health and saftey, scholarship, student development, citizenship and diversity. To accomplish these goals, Residence Life relies on a staff of eight central, 32 full-time and graduate, and over 250 paraprofessional staff members.
In an effort to give life to the goals, the central staff creates an annual "theme" that relates in some way to the goals and serves as a symbolic reminder of the purpose of our work. The residential campus and Residence Life staff are divided into three "Greens" (East, South, and West,) each with a distinct culture and small-campus atmosphere.
