How to Work With Us 

Ohio University faculty members have an opportunity to work with staff at the Technology Transfer Office to facilitate new inventions and discoveries.  

Our staff process new invention disclosures for evaluation of investment in a new asset such as a patent which can be used to help building new relationships with industry or for considering starting a new company.

There are several different ways we can provide assistance: 

• Evaluate options to commercialize technology  
  
• Engage experienced people who with knowledge of the industry and who have "done it before" 
  
• For inventions deemed to be marketable, invest in creating an asset such as a patent, trademark or copyright 
  
• For special inventions deemed to benefit to strategic initiatives, leverage financing opportunities including provide pre-seed funding from Vice President for Research budget or affiliate support groups
