| In most instances, regional campus students are bound by the dates, deadlines, policies, and procedures as published in the Schedule of Classes. Exceptions and variations applicable to the Southern campus are noted below. ACADEMIC ADVISING Students are encouraged to consult an advisor to review a schedule and make adjustments. Call the Student Center in Ironton, (740) 533-4600, or the Proctorville Center, (740) 886-7655, for information or an appointment. CHANGES OF CLASS SCHEDULE Students who find it necessary to add or replace a class can do so by using Web Registration or TRIPS. See Winter Quarter Calendar 2005-2006 for all registration deadlines. The last day to add a class without instructor’s approval is Tuesday, January 10, 2006. The last day to add a class is Tuesday, January 17, 2006. Students may use Web Registration or TRIPS to drop any class through Tuesday, January 17, 2006. However, classes dropped beginning Wednesday, January 18, 2006, will not remove fees for hours dropped and will reflect a grade (WP/WF) on the student’s academic record. FEE PAYMENT Payment may be made at the Student Center located in the Collins Center by money order, check, VISA or MasterCard (NO CASH, PLEASE!). FINAL EXAMINATION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULE All final examinations will be given during finals week at the same time that the class meets. Each examination period is two hours and will be held in the regular classroom. FINANCIAL AID ASSISTANCE Financial aid questions should be directed to the Student Center, (740) 533-4600. IMPORTANT Any student unable to complete the quarter should contact the Registration Office, (740) 533-4600, for information and instructions. Students who do not follow University policy for withdrawal will receive an F, FN, or FS grade. FN/FS grades calculate as F's in the GPA. INSURANCE Insurance forms will be available at the time of registration. Students who want insurance should complete the form and mail it to the indicated address. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS See special information for international students. NEW STUDENTS New students who will be attending Ohio University-Southern campus will be required to attend an orientation on Thursday, December 29, 2005. The Student Center will advise new students with the details a few weeks prior to the event. Contact the Student Center for more information regarding these sessions. RE-ENROLLING STUDENTS, RELOCATING STUDENTS, AND TRANSFER STUDENTS Students in this category should call or meet with an advisor in the Student Center. TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS Transcript request forms are available at the Southern campus or online at www.ohio.edu/registrar. Completed forms must be returned to the Office of the University Registrar, Chubb Hall, Ohio University, Athens, OH 45701-2979. See transcripts for more information. Note: Room Assignments will be posted prior to the beginning of the quarter. All books and supplies may be purchased from the bookstore located in the University Mart, 1813 Liberty Avenue, (740) 532-6193. The Library is housed on the second floor of the Collins Center. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Friday, and 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Saturday. Hours may vary if classes are not in session.
