Spring Quarter 2011-12 Calendar
Deadlines are 5:00 p.m. EST on the date indicated (unless otherwise noted). However, online transactions may be processed beyond 5:00 p.m. EST if the online system is available.
By registering for classes, a student incurs a legal obligation to pay tuition and fees. This debt may be canceled only if the student officially cancels his/her registration BEFORE Monday, March 26, 2012.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 31
Academic advising begins for spring quarter registration for continuing students (contact advisor/college/department/school/regional campus student services office as appropriate)
DARS reports available for students enrolled winter quarter
Note: A DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report is issued to students each quarter prior to priority registration. See General Information: Registration for method of distribution and location.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Spring quarter priority registration begins
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 - MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Online registration available for spring quarter priority registration (see Registration Schedule). This is priority registration based on class rank.
Note: Continuing students can obtain registration material at the locations listed under General Information: Registration or at their regional campus student services offices. Re-enrolling students are mailed registration information upon receipt of their request to re-enroll.
Fee Information: The initial due date for spring fees will be Wednesday, March 21, 2012. This will include registration charges incurred as of Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Account balance notifications for newly incurred charges are e-mailed at the beginning of each month and are due on the 21st of the month. Payments not received by the due date will incur a finance charge of 1.5%. See General Information: Fee Assessment Payment/Deadline-Bills for information on making payments.
Students may check their schedules at anytime at My OHIO Student Center. See General Information: Schedules, Student for more information.
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 - MONDAY, APRIL 9
Registration available for spring quarter drops and adds (see Registration Schedule)

Spring quarter tuition and fees due
Reminder: Fees must be paid by the due date. Students who have not paid their fees will not be canceled but incur a finance charge of 1.5%. If you do not plan to attend spring quarter, you must cancel all of your classes by accessing My OHIO Student Center or by calling the Office of the University Registrar, (740) 593-4495, BEFORE Monday, March 26, 2012, the first day of classes.

Last day to add a spring quarter class without instructor's approval

Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 50% housing/dining refund

Last day to register for spring quarter
Note: Students who are in attendance by this date but fail to complete any registration procedures must pay a penalty for retroactive registration correction according to the following schedule:

Last day to add a spring quarter class (instructor's permission required)
Last day to remove a spring quarter class from student's academic record with possible fee adjustment; spring quarter classes dropped April 10 - 30 will remain on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment
Last day to receive partial fee adjustment (80%) of registration fees for complete withdrawal from the University for quarter (all spring quarter courses removed from the student's academic record)
Last day to apply for pass/fail grading option for spring quarter class (apply at your college student services office or regional campus student services office)
Last day to change a grading option for spring quarter class (credit to audit, audit to credit, pass/fail to regular grade option, or regular grade option to pass/fail)
Last day to change college/major for spring quarter (contact your college student services office or regional campus student services office)
TUESDAY, APRIL 10
Spring quarter classes dropped will not remove fees for hours dropped; corrected registration that results in increased hours could increase tuition
Spring quarter classes dropped from this date through April 30 (last day to drop a class) will remain on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment
Summer quarter registration begins
SATURDAY, APRIL 14
Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 25% housing/dining refund
MONDAY, APRIL 16
Deadline to waive spring quarter health insurance, WellBeing Plan, and/or Student Legal Service
TUESDAY, APRIL 17
Last day to apply for graduation for spring quarter
Note: Official graduation (degree conferral date) is June 2 (medical), 8 (graduate), 9 (undergraduate). Commencement is held at the conclusion of spring quarter.
SATURDAY, APRIL 21

Last day to drop a class from your spring quarter schedule
