Spring Quarter 2006-2007 Calendar
 

Regional campus students should refer also to the section of the Schedule of Classes pertaining to their campus: Chillicothe, Eastern, Lancaster, Southern, Zanesville.

Deadlines are 5:00 p.m. EST on the date indicated. However, online transactions may be processed beyond 5:00 p.m. EST if the online application is available.

By registering for classes, a student incurs a legal obligation to pay tuition and fees. This debt may be cancelled only if the student officially cancels his/her registration BEFORE Monday, March 26, 2007.


WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31
Academic advising begins for Spring Quarter registration for continuing students (contact advisor/college/department/school/regional campus student services office as appropriate)

DARS reports available for students enrolled Winter Quarter

Note: A DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System) report is issued to students each quarter prior to priority registration. See General Informati on: Registration Material Locations for method of distribution and location.


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Spring Quarter priority registration begins


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 - TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27
Web Registration available for Spring Quarter priority registration (see Registration Schedule). This is priority registration based on class rank. See your DARS report for your starting time and Registration Access Code (RAC).

Note: Each student's RAC (Registration Access Code) is printed on his/her DARS report for priority registration, student class schedule, and grade report. Continuing students can obtain registration material at the locations listed under General Information: Registration Material Locations or at their regional campus student services offices. Re-enrolling students are mailed registration information upon receipt of their request to re-enroll.

Fee Information: Student eBills will be generated Thursday, March 1, 2007. Fees must be paid on or before Tuesday, March 13, 2007. See General Information: Fee Assessment Payment/Deadline-Bills for information on making payments.

Student class schedules are available by accessing the Office of the University Registrar Web site, www.ohio.edu/registrar, and selecting MySchedule under Quick Links to Online Services upon completion of registration. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27
In-person registration available (for those not wanting to use Web Registration to register)

THURSDAY, MARCH 1
Last day to withdraw from housing to avoid forfeiture of Spring Quarter deposit of $200


SATURDAY, MARCH 10
Spring Quarter student class schedules e-mailed to Oak e-mail accounts of registered students


TUESDAY, MARCH 13
Last day to pay fees for Spring Quarter to avoid late payment charge

Reminder: Fees must be paid by the due date. Students who have not paid their fees will not be cancelled but will be charged a $100 late payment charge. If you do not plan to attend Spring Quarter, you must cancel all of your classes by accessing the Office of the University Registrar Web site, www.ohio.edu/registrar, and selecting Register for Classes under Quick Links to Online Services or by calling the Office of the University Registrar, (740) 593-4207, BEFORE Monday, March 26, 2007, the first day of classes.

Last day to cancel registration for Spring Quarter (remove all courses and fees)

Note: Cancellation of registration is defined as dropping all classes before the first day of classes (use Web Registration).

Residence halls open at 9:00 a.m.

Registrar, Bursar, and Housing offices open 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (limited services will be available)

Last day to decrease or cancel meal plan (for new students with 90 or more credit hours)

Note: Students who are in attendance by this date but fail to c omplete all registration procedures must pay a penalty for retroactive registration correction according to the following schedule:

Last day to add a Spring Quarter class (instructor's permission required)

Last day to remove a Spring Quarter class from student's academic record with possible fee adjustment (use Web Registration); Spring Quarter classes dropped April 10 – 30 will rema in on student's academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment

Last day to receive partial fee adjustment (80%) of registration fees for complete withdrawal from the University for Spring Quarter (all Spring Quarter courses removed from the student's academic record)

Last day to apply for pass/fail grading option for Spring Quarter class (apply at your college student services office or regional campus student services office)

Last day to change a grading opti on for Spring Quarter class (credit to audit, audit to credit, pass/fail to regular grade option, or regular grade option to pass/fail)

TUES DAY, APRIL 10

Spring Quarter classes dropped will not remove fees for hours dropped; corrected registration that results in increased hours could increase tuition

Spring Quarter classes dropped from this date through Monday, April 30, 2007, (last day to drop a class) will remain on student’s academic record with WP/WF grade with no fee adjustment


TUESDAY, APRIL 10 - MONDAY, APRIL 30

Last day to check out of residence hall to receive 25% housing refund


TUESDAY, APRIL 17
Last day to apply for graduation for Spring Quarter

Note: Official graduation (degree conferral date) is Saturday, June 2, 2007 (medical), Friday, June 8, 2007 (graduate), Saturday, June 9, 2007 (undergraduate). Commencement is held at the conclusion of Spring Quarter. For students participating in June commencement, the schedule for cap and gown sales is as follows:
