OUE's Advising Office is open until 6:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and until 5:00 p.m. on Friday during fall and spring semesters.

NEW STUDENTS AND TRANSFERS
All new students, including transfer students, must take a skills assessment (dates will be announced). There is no charge for the skills assessment, but an appointment is required.
Note: Transfer students must take the skills assessment, but we will NOT require them to retake courses for which they receive transfer credit.
New and transferring students will receive a copy of the semester schedule through the mail. These students should call the Advising Office, 740.699.2517, and make individual appointments during which we will help them create schedules for the upcoming term.
If you were not enrolled for the preceding term but have been an Ohio University student in the past, you must file the appropriate forms (no cost involved) to reactivate your records. Contact the Admissions Office on the Eastern campus and ask for a re-enrollment packet. Before registering for classes, you should also talk with an advisor who can assist you in selecting appropriate courses to meet your requirements.

All final examinations are given during finals week at the scheduled times. Neither regular classes nor laboratories will be held during this week. Rescheduling of a final examination must be approved by the associate dean.
Students registered at more than one campus should check their final exam schedules early to avoid possible conflicts.

Courses over the OU Learning Network may follow a different exam schedule. Students should verify final exam date and time with instructor early in the semester.

FINAL EXAMINATION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULE
All final examinations will be given during finals week at the same time that the class meets. Each examination period is two hours and will be held in the regular classroom; online; or via compressed video.
Any student unable to complete the semester should contact Student Services, 740.533.4600, for information and instructions. Students who do not follow University policy for withdrawal will receive an F, FN, or FS grade. FN/FS grades calculate as Fs in the GPA.

CLOSED CLASSES - WAITING LISTS
If you wish to register for a CLOSED CLASS, go to the Information Center in Elson Hall, to have your name added to the wait list, and pick up a PETITION to enter a CLOSED CLASS. You must attend the first two contact hours of the class and, if an opening occurs, the instructor will admit petitioning students based on their wait list number.
FINAL EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
Each instructor will inform each class of the final exam day and time at the first class meeting. This information is found on the syllabus.
