New Adventures, a great way to start your college years...

Experience one more trip before classes start this fall with Outdoor Pursuits New Adventures program. New Adventures is a wilderness orientation trip exclusively for incoming freshmen. The program enables students to form strong friendships with classmates before arriving on campus. Students also learn about wilderness camping plus the ins and outs of college life from upper-class students.

New Adventures takes place in the beautiful Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) of Minnesota. Together with Canadas Quetico Provincial Park, this wilderness area covers over two million acres. The BWCAW is one of the few remaining unspoiled natural wilderness areas in the world. Students will access the BWCAW through the Superior National Forest in northern Minnesota.

Participants will travel in groups of nine, consisting of seven peers and two trip leaders. Each leader is an experienced outdoor guide, and every New Adventures staff member holds minimum certifications in First Aid and CPR. Additionally, several staff members hold more advanced certifications.
