Welcome to Fitness
The Ohio University Fitness Program is located in the Ping Recreation Center and includes a 6,000 square feet Fitness Area offering cardiovascular and resistance equipment. The free weight room measures 4,000 square feet and is stocked with dumbbells, weights, benches, and more. Activities include general recreation, group fitness sessions, group fitness workshops, fitness assessments, personal training, massage services and nutrition services. The program is available to university students, faculty/staff, or alumni who are Ping Center members.
The mission of the fitness program is to assist in making good lifestyle decisions by providing an opportunity to develop and enhance personal wellness and health management skills. The fitness program strives to provide a variety of programs and experiences led by knowledgeable employees who believe in a balanced and healthy mind, body, and spirit.
