Aquatics Institute
AQUATIC INSTITUTE is the Aquatic Center’s aquatic school for certifications and training. The goal of this program is to create a learning environment in a practical setting that will not only enhance learning, but provide the community with opportunities to learn about aquatics and elevate the quality of the Aquatic Center programs and events.
The Aquatic Center is an Authorized Provider for American Red Cross programs as many of the staff are indeed instructors as well as instructor trainers. We offer a wide range of American Red Cross certification programs which are open to both the university and surrounding communities. Below is a list of the various programs and dates the Aquatic Center will be offering each program.
REGISTRATION: All registrations will be administrated from the Front Desk of the Aquatic Center. Payment is expected at the time of registration unless other arrangements were previously set up by the Aquatic Director.
NOTE: We do not currently have on-line or phone registration.
Registration for all of the courses provided in this fall opens at 9:00am on October 8th and runs until the day of the course. Students can register and pay at the Front Desk of the Aquatic Center.
CLASS LOCATION: All the classes we offer will be held in the Aquatic Center or adjacent classroom buildings. Since not all programs require pool time, some programs will be held entirely in the classroom. Details for your individual class will be provided at the time of registration.
