Invitation to the RBCA Conference

The Regional and Branch Campus Administrators Conference (RBCA) may be the most perfect conference ever created. It is held in a beautiful location, there are no officers or by-laws, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and supportive. The great value of RBCA is that it provides an outstanding venue for regional or branch campus leaders to meet, exchange ideas, share problems and seek solutions.

RBCA began more than 35 years ago, and until 2006 was organized and supported by the University of South Carolina. In 2006, Ohio University began providing the administration, but the general format of the conference has remained unchanged. What has changed is that RBCA has affiliated with the National Association of Branch Campus Administrators (NABCA). NABCA provides, among other things, an annual conference that is intended to serve a wide range of individuals working in the regional and branch campus world. Accordingly, we decided to modestly re-shape RBCA as a Leadership Conference.

Thus, RBCA is intended to be of special interest to those who lead branch campuses or outreach centers in any sector of higher education, as well as those who aspire to such positions or simply have an interest in branch campus leadership. We will continue the small, informal atmosphere, allowing the time for networking and for discussions that campus leaders most seek.

We hope you will consider participating in RBCA, as well as in NABCA.  If you have attended the RBCA conference in the past, we especially hope to see you at Longboat Key Club this June. If you will be attending for the first time, we are delighted to welcome you to the ranks and to this glorius locaiton.
