2012 is the year OHIO transitions to semesters.

Fast-facts for a smooth transition to semesters:Ask a question

  • OHIO transitions to semesters in Fall 2012, classes begin August 27, 2012 *
  • Every student should plan now for a smooth transition.
  • Undergraduate freshmen, sophomores and juniors will meet with a transition advisor to create a TDCP (transition degree completion plan), an academic course plan that assures "on time" graduation
  • Undergraduate seniors should visit their advisor to sign a TDCP cover sheet acknowledging they plan to graduate before August 27, 2012
  • Graduate students will create a TDCP following the process determined by the department of study
  • HCOM student should visit http://www.oucom.ohiou.edu/q2s/ for information about the transition

Students, YOUR participation in the transition process is important! The university pledges that the transition will not delay degree completion or cause a student to incur increased costs to do so; your involvement is required to assure success. Make a plan!

*HCOM and some graduate programs are exceptions to the start date. Check with your department for details.
