Ohio University Distinguished Professors
The Distinguished Professor Award recognizes outstanding scholarly and creative accomplishments. It is the highest permanent recognition attainable at Ohio University. Recipients have tenure and a minimum of five years’ service at the university. Among their privileges is the honor of naming an undergraduate student annually to receive a year’s full-tuition scholarship. The award, first made in 1959,is supported by an endowment from Edwin and Ruth Kennedy to the Baker Fund.
